Zoo volunteers have an interest in wild animals, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.  To become a docent, all you need to do is attend a Volunteer Orientation Session, fill out a Volunteer Application and return it to the Education Department with your training fee and attend Docent Training.
Training take place three times a year; March, June and September.

No experience necessary—we will teach you everything you need to know. 

Teen Docents

If you have an interest in wild animals and nature, a willingness to learn, and some extra time on your hands, consider becoming a volunteer at the Salisbury Zoo.
