Paws, Claws, Scales & Tails D-K1
Which animals have fur and which have feathers? Encounter animals with different shapes, sizes, and colors and see why animals look the way they do.

What do animals eat? Why do some eat plants and some eat meat? Take a look at carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores, and find out what foods animals like best.

Animal Adventurers C-23
Become animal trackers and use evidence to track animals at the Zoo and in the wild. Detect the places where animals live and discover why animals live in different spots.

Forests are filled with fascinating creatures from bugs to bears. Find out all about animals that live in forests and uncover the amazing things about them!

Ecosystem Expedition C-45
How are animals that live in the ocean different from animals that live in a river? Take a look at the different environments where animals are found, and the adaptations that help them survive.

How do you plan for an outdoor trip? Learn proper planning, camping, and hiking safety, and how to deal with emergencies when you are out in the field! Includes a kayak trip!

Entering Grades 6-8

Junior Zookeeper 2 B-68
Who wants to be a zookeeper? Go behind-the-scenes to learn what working in a zoo is all about. Assist keepers and learn how exhibits are designed and built.
NEW this year - each day will include additional time with Zookeepers to learn about some of the conservation projects they focus on. The additional $5 per camper fee will be put directly to the Association of Zookeeper's conservation project of the class's choice!

ZooCamp FAQs

What does my child need to bring to ZooCamp?
Campers should bring a lunch if attending one of the sessions from 9 am - 2 pm. The Zoo provides campers with a snack and water each day. The Zoo also provides all of the materials needed for camp. The Zoo also provides all of the materials needed for camp.

How should my child dress for ZooCamp?
Exploring is fun, but it can get messy! Please be sure your child dresses appropriately. The Zoo provides t-shirts for campers to wear during camp. ZooCamp will be held during inclement weather. Campers should dress for the weather and wear close-toed shoes -- please, no flip flops or crocs!

How do I know if my child is registered?
Confirmation for camp will be sent by email upon receipt of your registration. Zoo staff will notify you immediately by phone if the session is already full.

Know Before You Go

Your child should arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to the start of camp each day. We will meet at the East Gate entrance (near the golf course). Please wait with your child until ZooCamp staff arrives.

Campers should be picked up at the same location at the end of ZooCamp each day. Camp times vary, so please check the schedule. If anyone other than a parent or legal guardian will be picking up your child, please notify ZooCamp staff in writing.

A snack and water will be provided each day. Campers staying for 5 hours per day should pack a lunch.

Registration and Payment

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Camp fills up quickly, so register early!

Fill out the ZooCamp Registration Form to register for ZooCamp. Please mail the Registration Form with payment to the address below, fax the form with a credit card number to 410.860.0919, or submit the online registration form for ZooCamp!

Your registration is complete only if payment is included. Your payment (check or credit card) is the only way to reserve a place in ZooCamp. Make checks payable to Salisbury Zoo.

To qualify for the FOSZ discount, you MUST be a member at the FOSZ family-level or above.


A confirmation email will be sent upon receipt of your registration. Staff will notify you immediately by phone if the session you submitted a registration for is already full.

Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds are guaranteed if you cancel before June 1. If you cancel after June 1, a refund (less a $10 administrative fee) will be issued ONLY if we fill the space from the waiting list. Please note: If your child is sent home due to disciplinary problems, no refund will be issued.
