Want to experience the Salisbury Zoo in a new way?
Our keepers are offering animal encounters, with money raised benefiting the Chesapeake Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK).
One encounter will be offered each Thursday at 2 p.m. For each encounter, the guest will choose three animals to be introduced to and learn about. Some animals may include a feeding option, while others will not. Experiences with some animals will also be weather-dependent.
Animal Choices:
- Sloth
- Wallaby
- Flamingo/Macaw
- Bear
- Beaver
- Rhea/Macaw
- Alpaca
- Goat
The package is for 45 minutes at the rate of $40 per person, and a maximum of five people can attend one session. At least two weeks’ notice is required to request an encounter. To inquire about reserving a date and time, email hbuchek@salisbury.md.
